This foam composite of the HydroTac series from Hartmann, has a net-shaped hydrogel layer on the wound side and a water-vapor-permeable, liquid and germ-proof polyurethane outer layer. The absorbent foam absorbs excess wound exudate quickly without drying the wound. In relatively dry wounds, the hydrogel releases moisture and assists the formation and maintenance of the moist wound margin, thereby promoting granulation and epithelialization. The wound pad is soft and supple, has a good cushioning effect and can be removed with pain.
