What is the care package?

The care box contains co-payment-free care aids and consumables for home care. These products help ensure the necessary hygiene during home care and maintain your own independence or that of your relatives.

Which products are included in the care packages?

Our care package contains a wide range of high-quality care products to ensure your safety and hygiene. These include high-quality disposable gloves, an effective hand disinfectant solution, reliable surface disinfectants, and comfortable face masks. We also offer hand disinfectant wipes sourced from reputable manufacturers. These carefully selected products provide comprehensive protection and are easy to use for your care needs. Your health and safety are our top priority.

Am I entitled to coverage of the costs of care aids?

For you to order our care packages and receive reimbursement from your health insurance provider, the following requirements must be met:

  • the person in need of care has a recognized care level
  • the person in need of care lives at home, in an assisted living facility, or in a shared apartment
  • care is provided by a private individual

Who covers the costs of care aids?

Your long-term care insurance fund covers the cost of our care packages once your application for cost coverage has been approved. Once this has happened, we will take care of the billing for you - all you need to do is select the care aid packages you want.

How long does it take to get approval?

Processing times may vary from case to case. However, it generally takes no longer than four weeks for your application to be approved.

For what period are the costs covered?

Generally, health insurance funds approve your application for an indefinite period. In some cases, a term of one year is initially approved, and the application is reviewed again after this period expires. However, as long as the person in need of care is being cared for at home, there is generally an entitlement to coverage of the costs.

What amount will be covered for me each month?

The Long-Term Care Strengthening Act states that care aids worth up to 40 euros per month are reimbursed. Our care packages are designed to ensure that this amount is never exceeded. You will incur no additional costs whatsoever.

Which types of products are the costs covered for?

Your long-term care insurance fund covers the costs of so-called care aids in product group 54. These include:

  • Disposable gloves
  • Protective aprons
  • Face masks
  • Bed protection pads
  • Surface disinfectant
  • Hand disinfectant

How can I order the care packages for free?

Once you have completed the application for coverage of costs and it has been approved, you can select the desired package in our online shop. There are no additional costs.

I have private health insurance - what do I need to consider?

If you have private insurance, we must issue you an invoice for your care box. Once you have paid it, submit the invoice to your insurance provider. Private insurance providers also normally reimburse monthly costs of up to 40 euros.
